Historic Cadillac House - Lexington Michigan

from $19.99

Taken At: N 43.268°, W -82.530°

The Cadillac House opened in Lexington Michigan in 1860 when it was just a hotel. While the records going back to the 1800s are not great, we do know that the original owner was a Lexington local. At this time the hotel got most of its business from the lumber and shipping trade.

As that industry left the town at the turn of the century the hotel switched its business model to accommodate mostly tourists during the summer. By 1950 the hotel was not bringing in enough money and the owners decided to focus on the bar and restaurant. This proved to be a good business move and in the 1970s the Cadillac House was remodeled.

In 2016 the business was sold to the current owners who remodeled the building and bring it back to its original purpose by bringing hotel rooms back. Today you can see the building is decorated for the Fourth Of July and is a fullying functioning bar, restaurant, and hotel.

If you own a cottage in Lexington or have ties to the town this image would make a great addition to your home. By displaying this on metal it gives a unique and modern look to a historic building and it will be a great conversation starter.
